I am planning a Thanksgiving trip for some friends and myself, but we need some advice: Are their any options to watch the parade indoors (ie restaurants that serve during this time)? Also, any suggestions on where to eat Thanksgiving dinner that evening?

Are you asking for a proper Thanksgiving dinner at a restaurant that has a view of the parade?

Watch the parade in your hotel room if you don't want to watch it on the street. Eat dinner in a restaurant, not a bar with a TV. Many fine restaurants as well as most simple neighborhood spots serve Thanksgiving dinner. What is your budget, and where are you staying? If you want something upscale, there are myriad options, but reservations won't be available until around mid- to late October.

Oh ... and I should clarify. Most restaurants do not serve Thanksgiving dinner starting at 9 am, but there will be places open, and many diners have TV screens.

I think the OP wants to watch the parade LIVE, out the window of a restaurant that overlooks the parade route. He then asks about where to have dinner-- 2 separate questions.

I think so too, as in watch the parade passing by while eating breakfast, and then where to have Thanksgiving dinner.

This is ironic considering last week's discussion but call the Marriott in Times Square and see what they are doing.

OK ... I think I get it now. That's actually quite a bit harder. I doubt very much that there is anyplace that is remotely affordable to do this. Several office buildings open only to employees and their families; hotels have extra-expensive viewing parties (those few that are on the route). But it's not really a thing that you watch from indoors. If the OP has a room at the Mandarin Oriental, Le Meridien, or Trump International overlooking Columbus Circle that might be the ideal thing, but then it would cost over $1,000 per night.

To see the parade from a restaurant it woud have to be on the 2nd or 3rd floor- very rae. Ground floor will be blocked by viewers and rooftop places won;t let you see anything.

Also - anyplace that is ableto do this will be very big .

As for the dinner,what is your budget - and assume you want the traditional turkey dinner or similar.
