Thanksgiving Get-together

I am trying to find a nice resort where we can meet family for Thanksgiving. One group is coming from the Louisville, KY area and the other from Harrisburg, PA. We are trying to locate something in between where we can have Thanksgiving dinner and lodging. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks for any help.

You don't describe your budget or the age/interest composition of your group but here are some suggestions: 1) Oglebay Resort in Wheeling, WV is very nice middle of the road resort with great activities for kids. They should be starting their Holiday Winter light festival around Thanksgiving, 2) Seven Springs Resort in Champion PA (Laurel Highlands) is a ski oriented resort with tons of indoor activities (pool, golf) and is a 3 star resort, 3) if you want a 4 star resort, Nemacolin Woodlands Resort in the Laurel Highlands of PA as well is a deluxe place, 4) of course there's always the 5 star Greenbriar in WV, but that will be big $$$. If you are more budget minded, there are state park resorts in PA, OH (Salt Fork near Cambridge comes to mind), and WV that might fit your bill.

Depending on how big the family. Check out the Hocking Hills area in Ohio. There are several recent posts on here if y'all are the 'outdoorsy' type. Probably even shoot your own turkey, there are plenty around there.

How about 1 of the WVA state Parks? There are many but I would recommend Blackwater Falls/Canaan Valley.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I am looking at Salt Fork State Park in Cambridge, OH and also Mohician Resort in Ohio. Ogleby Resort looks really nice but you have to have a package of 3 nights beginning Thanksgiving Day and still have to pay for the buffet. A little too expensive. Thanks again.
