Texas on business

Hey, I'm going to be traveling to texas in the next couple of months and will need to book 3 seperate hotels in 3 seperate cities, Help! I'm looking for moderately priced, clean places to stay, designed for a business traveler in Weslaco, Irving, and Plano. If anyone has any information on any of these cities please share! Thanks!!

The www.guidelive.com site has the lists of hotels, but no real recommendations.

jg...There is virtually every brand available in Irving and Plano..and what parts of each city they are pretty big...I have stayed @ the Courtyard by Marriott at Plano Parkway and Preston Road, just north of the new George Bush Frwy.Though the traffic is haywire, its fairly convenient. There are several hotels on the east side of that corner,LaQunita, Extended Stay,Studio Plus.I love that Red Hot and Blue Restaurant just to the west of the intersection, great barbecue.Good Luck!

Traffic is awful.

You can stay in the same hotel for Irving and Plano. Do you need to be in north Irving (Las Colinas or off of LBJ?) or south Irving?

A friend of mine stays in the Vista Ridge area sometimes.Residence Inn, Comfort Suites, Fairfield Inn,Baymont Inn.It is easily reached as the north exit from DFW Airport is Hwy 121.When the highway splits just before Lewisville, take a right. The area I am describing is just to your left south and east of the mall itself.Just to the east is restaurant row along I35E.To get to Plano just take SH121 Bypass and its less than 25 minutes to Plano.Take MacArthur Blvd south to Irving 20 minutes as well.

I always had great luck with La Quinta properties back when I traveled for business. They were affordably priced, clean, and had a desk in the room so I could work. I know there are La Quintas in both Irving and Plano, and I'd bet there is one in or near Weslaco, too.

Use Priceline. I know I got a 3 star hotel in Irving for $35 a night in 2/05.

I'm from the Dallas area. A great compromise that might involve you moving around less would be the Westing Galleria. It's about 30 minutes or less to Irving or Plano and it would give you a "home" base.
Where in Plano are you going and Irving? Richardson just south of Plano has a new Renaissance. If you're looking to go cheaper - our wedding party stayed at Amerisuites in Allen 3 miles N of Plano on 75. Plano is really wide so it would make a difference if you want to be on the West (Tollway) side or East (75/Central) side. Another possibility for Irving would be an airport hotel. It's on the south side of DFW.

In Texas, I've always found La Quinta and Best Western to have the most reasonable prices with nice clean accommodations and good service and continental bkfst for business travel.
