Tetons/Yellowstone location

Is it feasible to stay between Yellowstone and Jackson then commute to the parks? I hate packing and unpacking so thought possibly we could stay in a cabin in Moran, WY, or Colter Bay, WY or Ashton, ID. Would love your opinion. Thanks....

It can be done, but it could involve a lot of driving. And, if you're going during the tourist season, you could be stuck in a lot of traffic, further adding to the driving time.

You could actually stay in Jackson if you wanted to, to commute between the two. It is only 20 miles between the parks and the road is really good

If memory serves me correctly, it's about 45 minutes from Jackson to the northern end of Grand Teton NP (at the least) and then you'd have big drives in Yellowstone. We split the trip up (3 at Jackson Lake Lodge, 2 at Old Faithful and 2 at Lake Yellowstone). Worked well

ccrosner is correct about driving distances.
For the Teton, Jackson is fine. But, no way do you want to stay in Jackson and travel back and forth to Yellowstone. It's too much driving.
