Another tip for any trip. If you are going to leave your camera anywhere there is a possibility of it being stolen
(eg in a car or hotel room) take the memory card out of your camera. Then if it is stolen you won't lose your photos.

Glad you had a good time. We will get there one day.

doohickey said: For sure - Verizon works at Old Faithful, Mammoth and the parking lot at Artist's Point.

I wanted to confirm that I too had coverage at these locations with Verizon. We even got internet on my aircard at the Mammoth Campground and Old Faithful Parking lot. I didn't try it at Artist Point.

Just returened last night after a trip to Mt. Rushmore, Custer State park, Devils monument, Crazy Horse, Cody, YNP and GTNP. Make sure you have chapstick for your lips. Very dry out there and our lips were cracked throughout. I would also pack saline nasal solution mist as the nose gets very dry and some of us had nose bleeds.

I agree with PeterSale, but do it a bit differently. I use different memory cards so if the card/camera are lost, I don't lose all of my photos. And, I don't keep the extra memory cards in the camera case but store them elsewhere.

banana, one of my souvenirs is a huckleberry flavored chapstick from Montana. Huckleberry stuff was EVERYwhere
