I took the "Getting By" tour. The tour was excellent, and I really enjoyed the opportunity to see two of the apartments. One was furnished as of the 1870s (or 1880s) and the other as it was in the 1930s.
A very worthwhile tour.

From your post, I am thinking you read about each of the tours online. I like them all, but I have a special palce in my heart for the Confino Family Living History tour - I think are you also bringing your 14 yr old? (thinking b/c you were also asking about theater shows too I think)
If so, there were several young family members with us on two of the tours we did last time, and they all loved the Confino tour -
Take the time to see the film before the tour, I think it makes more sense then for them - nice to have a little time seeing the film/ in the bookstore/ then the tour/ then perhaps walk a bit on orchard st/ delancey, etc up into Soho for a bite !
Do get your tickets ahead of time, people are often surprised to there and find it sold out or only one ticket left for the time they want to go.
