Taos Hotel Help Needed!
We are looking for upscale lodging within walking distance of the square. Any reviews (including specific room reviews) on the following 2 properties would be Oh So Helpful!
Inn on La Loma Plaza and Historic Taos Inn.
(specifically the Helen House rooms, which are the only ones available). Thanks Much to all!!

A friend stayed at El Monte Sagrado and thought it was fabulous, but I don't know that it's in the location you want.

Here's a previous thread from '04(found by a search for upscale Taos) that said Historic Taos Inn was "cute and charming, but be prepared for a vintage kind of room."

I've read all the threads on Taos Hotels, gone to Trip Advisor etc. None specifically give me truly good and CURRENT insight into the two hotels I am looking at. If anyone has actually stayed at either one and can offer their reviews, I would appreciate it. Adios Amigos!
