GREAT HOTEL-fantastic views of the lake and Chicago. However, as of Thankgsviging Day weekend, the pool was closed for renovations. It's a great location for Marshall Fields and Prairie Carson Department stores, and a little farther to the Magnificent Mile shops, etc. Rooms are good sized, great amenities, big bathrooms with separate shower and tub. Drapes and bedspreads a bit dated. Restaurant, The Palm is excellent (and expensive). there is also a more casual restaurantlocated in the hotel. there is a decent bakery (Corner Bakery) down the street where you can get a reasonably priced breakfast or lunch (bagels, muffins, sandwiches, etc.) Have a great visit

Everyone: we loved the hotel! Very large room with a view of the lake. Huge bathroom. Close to everything we wanted to visit. The staff was very friendly-let us check into the room at 10:30AM and check out late. We will definitely stay there again. Thanks for you help! PS: the pool was open this weekend but we were to busy on Sat and on the Sun, the outside temperature dropped to 15F, so swimming, although indoors didn't sound too good after freezing outside. Sat was about 40F, so I guess we were spoiled.
Me: Got the rate through Priceline-bid $75 for a four star hotel (North Mi Ave) on Friday afternoon and got that hotel on the first try.
