Swimming goggles for glasses. HELP !
We are heading to Hawaii with plans to see up close and personal---fish and sea turtles.
But, we both wear glasses. We would like your recommendations for swimming goggles that we can wear over our glasses.
Thanks.

First of all, you probably won't need to wear your glasses under water, as the water has a significant magnifying impact. I wear a fairly strong prescription and see fine underwater with regular goggles without any glasses at all. If you've ever swam in a pool with swimming goggles, you'll know whether or not you see clearly under water.
Second, if you want to buy goggles to go over your glasses, why not go to a sporting goods store and try them on. Third, if you're going to rent goggles in Hawaii, ask at the rental shop.

When I bought my mask last year the dive shop popped prescription lenses into the mask. They had them premade for the mask in anywhere for 1 to 4 diopters. It cost a little extra, but I'm glad I did this. Have a great trip.

My optician said I could get prescription swimming goggles for a low cost (relative to the expensive cost of my glasses) - $70 CAD. Personally I have about -9 diopter magnification, and I doubt any place would have these types of goggles lying around lying around. So I'd check with an eyeglasses store and see what deal you can get.
