SUSHI in St. Louis
Will be on business trip next week in STL, every night but one has dinner planned. I love the raw stuff so wonder if there is a sushi/sashimi bar close the Sheridan West port Plaza. I realize I can do a search but it's also fun to ask here.

Hi Arkansasnurse
We just returned from our business trip at this complex. Will you be in the tower or the chalet? The tower has the better rooms IMO. If you want to take a swim, the tower has an indoor pool the chalet has the outdoor. You can use either. There is a gold looking building on the complex with offices(it has an elevater that goes up on the outside) That building has a Japanese Restaurant on the top floor. We did not eat there but did look at it and I believe it had a sushi bar.

The place cd is talking about is called Robata. It's not a sushi place: it's more of a Benihana type restaurant but I think they do have sushi. At least stick you nose in both but I'll bet Drunken Fish might be better since their focus is sushi.

Robata's is the original Benihana. Its all in the same family. The sister does Robata's and her brother did the Benihana concept and expanded the business. The people who owned Robata's onced owned a sushi place in Westport but I do not think it is around anymore. If you want to try the best the City has to offer, go to Nobu's, on Olive Street, in University City. It is an old, renovated IHOP.
