Sunset in Portland

We are planning to tour the northwest in August. We need to know what time the sunsets and darkness arrives out that way.

Thanks.

Hi Barbara, I'd hoped someone from Portland would have answered you by now; I'm in Seattle so maybe I can help. It's now 7:30 pm here and sun is still high above the Olympic Mountains but will be going down shortly. it's still pretty light til 9-9:30 or so this time of year. Should be
close to same in August. Hope this helps. Have a wonderful trip to our beautiful Northwest.

Hi Barbara,

I'm from Scottsdale, AZ so I'm not an expert on "sunsets" in PDX, but I'll bet if you look up the Portland newspaper, they will have sunrise/sunset times. Just a suggestion. Have a wonderful trip it's a BEAUTIFUL city. If you have time don't miss the Oregon Coast, it's about 2 hours from PDX and WELL WORTH THE TIME.

Try this website for sunrise and sunset times all over the world - probably far more than you could ever want to know. http://www.mindspring.com/~cavu/sunset.html
