Sunset at Grand Canyon
Hello, i'm coming in September in your fabulous country.
I'm going to visit the grand canyon, i stay at yavapai lodge, Is it good?
My other question is : what point between the village and Desert View point is the best to see a wonderful sunset.
I will be there Sept. 3rd, Can some one tell me at what time does the sunset starts. thanks a lot

According to my DH who has spent much time researching this as we will be there the week before, in Aug, Hopi Point at approx 7:30 pm. He suggests arriving there at least 1 hour prior to catch a good spot and to see the changes in the light. Enjoy!

Be sure to allow yourself plenty of time to get where you are going. You must ride the tram on the south rim. Call up the following web site for times and on the left you will see a sunrise/set table as well.

Hopi point is a favorite sunset point and crowds will form there long before sunset.
I also wanted to mention that Hopi point is not between the Village and Desert View...it's actually a little east of the Village on the Hermit's Rest Shuttle bus run.
