I am going down to Clearwater Beach in March to watch some Grapefruit League baseball and have booked this motel. Anyone ever stayed there? Last time I stayed at big chain but thought I would stay at a smaller, kind of "retro" motel? Your comment would be appreciated.

Isn't this kind of like asking the waiter what he thinks of the T-bone after you've already ordered? It flows that sites like this are used to gather info prior to booking. Just a thought.

Andy-I have never heard of it. I have stayed at a small place on the bay called the New Yorker. Quiet place, small pool, efficiency or one bedrooms with kitchen. Has a small dock out back and grills for cooking. I would stay there again.
