I am not sure about the semi-permanant tanning stuff but I really like the Sally Hanson Spray on leg make-up.
I have some spider veins on my legs and I can get them close to flawless with the stuff and it is VERY waterproof!
I even use it for a few discolorations on my face. It's better than Dermablend if you are lucky enough to get a color match.
I live in Texas and can sweat all day and the stuff will stay put until you use soap and a bit of scrubbing.

I like the Lancome spray-on or the Clarins tinted. Be sure to rub it in 3-4 different directions, and go easier on knees and ankles, and exfoliate in shower before applying.
I also use a spray on micro-powder silk leg makeup. I got mine at Sephora. I love it! Glad to know the Sally Hanson works well, too.

To sylvia3 & lolfn (and anyone else!)
The Jergens product sounds interesting. Can you tell me more about it? I've had bad experiences with streaking in the past, so I'm wondering if this would be easier.
If it's good, I'd gladly TRAVEL to the store to get some.

Personally, I think they all smell bad. I'm on my second 7.5 fl oz. tube of Jergen's Natural Glow Daily Moisturizer.
It's a good product, and doesn't make your skin look orange. However, I already had a decent tan when I started using it. You must be sure to chose a tube that matches your skin tone.

I'm with you, Kane, I've tried several and the odor really bothers me!
That said, I began using the Jergens Glow Moisturizer this past Spring, while I was still 'white white!'...the light one wasn't enough for me, even though I'm usually fair.
The medium was perfect! I really only use it on my legs, partly due to the odor (which is more toloerable than most), but also due to the fact that my arms & upper body tans more quickly than my legs.
The next best thing I've tried has been 'Tan Towels'. Purchased at specialty stores or HSN.
In my experience, they ALL rub off onto clothing to some extent, but it hasn't been a major problem.

RE: Jergens Natural Glow Daily Moisturizer
this is a subtle self-bronzing lotion; it is a fairly new product, available in Target, Walmart, Walgreens, even my grocery store. It goes on smoothly, jas a nice fragrance (esp. compared to some of the products out there, and I've tried a bunch), and adds a very natural looking color from the first application. It comes in light and medium shades (I'm not sure about dark), costs $4 or $5 for 7.5 fl. oz. I tend to streak or get orange with all the other self-tanning products I've tried, but this one has been really nice. It's been in the upper 90s here, so I've put it to the test of rubbing off, etc. on clothing, and it hasn't; but I wait always wait until those kinds of products are dry/absorbed before I dress.
