Thank you bostonguy and Dukey.....I copied and pasted several tower suite reviews from the destination portion of Fodor's, and like both of you, people seemed very pleased...so I'm not fretting anymore! Also, I called and spoke to the hotel about the whole color scheme thing, and she highly recommended the "ivory" theme....so I'm over THAT hurdle too!!
Re: the cabana....I spoke to the pool person, (yes, I'm sure ALL of the employees @ the Mirage know me by name and I haven't even arrived yet)and there are misters, as you had mentioned bostonguy, a ceiling fan, a frig stocked with h20, juices & sodas, a fruit, nut and cheese tray and other snacks. I think I may go for it...1 or 2 days... $200 per day, plus tip for the host. OK, time for the rationalization....it's our 25th wedd. anniv, and it's been MAJORLY HOT this summer!!! We're not gamblers, but I just may become one to pay for the cabana luxury. Thx for your responses.....I've still got a week to stress (I thrive on pre-vacation stress!) so more questions may be a-comin'!! Here's one: has anyone used the spa at the mirage? I was on igougo and someone posted a picture of the "tub" and it looked GORGEOUS. I don't know if I can afford any spa services, but I do want to use the workout facilities, and it mentioned that it provided workout clothing......is that standard in these hotels?? 'cus that would be great if I didn't have to pack that stuff too! This type of service is new to me!?!
