Suite hotels in Chicago
Does anyone have any great suggestions for a suite hotel? I am looking for a hotel near the Magnificent Mile for 6 of us. I'm thinking 2 rooms with 2 Double Beds and a sofa bed in the other room.
Suggestions? I know the Embassy Suites would be an option. Just wondering if anyone has any other suggestions.

I would recommend Embassy Suites and also recommend you stay away from Comfort Inn & Suites Downtown. We stayed there a few years ago and heard nothing but sirens all night (hospital very close by), plus the beds were extremely uncomfortable.

We took a couple of trips several years ago to Chicago and stayed at the Homewood Suites...the location was great, nice breakfast and "manager's reception" were included. I think I booked those rooms through Quikbook (www.quikbook.com) and felt I got a pretty good deal, considering everything. Now that I'm thinking more about it, if I recall correctly, for some reason they didn't have many rooms with two double/queen beds (most were kings which I thought strange) so make reservations early. I would definitely put it on your list to look at.

I am currently booked with the Hilton Suites at Magnificent Mile for a trip in September. I had researched for suite hotels near Magnificent Mile (just as you)and saw some good reviews for the Hilton. Plus I believe this is a remodeled Doubletree and those Hotels are always good

There are several options in addition to the two Embassy Suites and Homewood Suites. There's a Residence Inn and Spring Hill Suites which share a building on Dearborn just north of the river. There's another Residence Inn on Walton at the north end of the Mag Mile. Finally, the Doubletree on East Ohio and the new Wit Doubletree which just opened in May at State & Lake.

I highly recommend the Talbott on Delaware Street. We stayed in a suite there a few years ago and thought it was wonderful. (https://www.talbotthotel.com/). I personally prefer the boutique hotels to the large chains (with the exception of the Four Seasons - we loved our stay in a suite there, but it is pricey).
I didn't care for our stay in a suite at the Omni on Michigan Avenue. We arrived to find a used condom on the floor - how vile is that??
