Suggestions, Please

We are thinking of going to outer banks. No further south than nags head. 2 adults, 2 small dogs. Can anyone suggest a way I can find a smaller house than the 8 - 16 bedroom ones that seem to abound on the websites? thanks.

Suggest you put at least the location in the post.

Everyone here wants suggestions - and your chance of useful answers is better if people that know the area bother to look at your post.

The location we are interested in is the northern outer banks, from north to nags head at the south.

nytraveler meant to make a new thread with a better description in the message title box like:

"Looking for house rental in outer banks/nags head NC area in _____ [fill in month]"

I made the same suggestion on your other thread that asks the same question.

We recently stayed in a house with 5 bedrooms. Call the rental agencies, I have found them to be very helpful. Try Twiddy, Stan White, Carolina Designs, just to name a few that I have used.

VRBO.com has a few 1 bedroom and several 2/3 bedroom houses in Nags Head alone. I didn't look anywhere else in OB but I'm sure you could find a few.

I must be using this site incorrectly. Debit, what do you mean by my other post? I will try using the phone, because I see few houses that are small and allow pets on the oceanfront in any of the sites you guys suggested, but thank you anyway.

Debit means your other post that has the heading "summer/fall".

When we were in Nags Head during the summer, we noticed the realty that had a lot of rentals was Sun Realty. Perhaps you could contact them: http://www.sunrealtync.com/

I did a search for you of the Southern Shores Realty website for houses that allow dogs. SS is just north of Nags Head. I hope this link works. You can continue your search by googling 'Outer Banks NC vacation rentals' and going through the websites of the real estate companies that pop up. It takes a bit of time.
