Brasserie Jo is also very good, I agree. Went to Sweetwater Cafe quite a bit when I worked in Boston, this is definitely casual. What's your price range? If you want to go a bit pricier, there is a great place on Gloucester St. between Newbury and Comm Ave called L'Espalier, serving French and American cuisine. They serve only dinner, Mon-Sat. It's expensive but well worth it...good for a romantic dinner for 2. Check out their web site....www.lespalier.com. My husband took me there for Valentine's Day a few years back...what a treat. Good luck!!
