Suggestions for Huntington Beach, CA

I have three days to spend in Huntington Beach, CA next month and I was wondering if anyone out there might have a suggestion for things to do. Also, could anyone suggest a good Irish pub?

Go to Ruby's on the pier for breakfast and our hotel had prepackaged hot dogs, firewood, blanket, matches etc. that you could take across the street to the beach. This is a beach you can actually (legally) have a fire pit!

HB is a big surf city, so you might want to rent a board and give it a try while you're in town. The Ruby's suggestion is good.

I spent some time there last summer. It is an awesome place. There is so much to do right at the Pier. Good meals, great beach and people. I'm sure that you will have no problem finding things to do there. What kinds of things did you have in mind? Surfing, bodyboarding, shopping, sunbathing, etc. etc.

There's a Duke's at the base of the pier that has very good sea food. A little more upscale than Rubys. But I loveeeeee Rubys. I don't really know of good Irish Pubs in HB but there are a couple in Newport Beach which is a short distance away - Muldoon's and Malarky's.
