Stroller access to some activities in NY
My wife and I are taking our toddler (under 2) to NY for 10 days on Saturday.
We're bringing his stroller as he's not up to walking huge distances. My question: would we be able to take our babystroller on the Grayline Double Decker buses? On a Circle Line Harbor Cruise? Staten Island Ferry?
Anyone with firsthand knowledge, I'd be truly indebted...thanks!

As long as it folds up, you can take a stroller pretty much anywhere (and it's fine not folded up on the SI Ferry and cruise, although you may want to fold it for the congested entry and exit to the ferry & cruise).
I'd strongly suggest avoiding the subways & city buses during rush hour, even with a fold-up stroller. They're too crowded for a family with a toddler, and people will glare at you if you aren't extremely dexterous with your things.
If you don't own a small, easily collapsible stroller, now's your chance to buy one. It's a *must* in NYC.
Enjoy!

Circle Line and Staten Island Ferry are no problem whatsoever.
For the Grayline Double Deckers, there's room on the lower level to stash the stroller. Be advised you'll have to carry your toddler up/down a very narrow winding staircase to sit on the upper deck - but folks do this all the time. And, the driver will ensure that the bus doesn't start moving while anyone is on the staircase.

I want to reinforce the fact that taking a stroller on the bus or subway during rush hours is a complete no no. There is barely room for a handbag or briefcase never mind a stroller - which would end up not only taking the room of a coupe of passengers but probably tripping people as well. Using the bus at other times is Ok as long as its not too crowded and the stoller folds up to a very small size. Using the subways at any time is problematic - there are just too many stairs to manage a stroller comfortably.

Should the occasion arise where it may be necessary to use the subway (heavy rain) go to the rear of the train - it is almost always less crowded and that includes rush hour. Not only are strollers frequently seen on the subway, so are bicycles
