Stoweflake resort in Vermont

Has anyone stayed at the Stoweflake resort in Stowe, Vermont. I am considering staying there over the Xmas break and was interested in any comments anyone might have?

Would anyone have any info on the Stoweflake resort or alternatively Topnotch resort at Stowe - Vermont?

Never having stayed there I did not reply when I first saw the post. However since its been a few days I might as well chip in with what little I know. Which is this - from the outside the place looks lovely during the summer. Its in a good location on the Mountain Road. Probably 5 miles to Mt. Mansfield - near some nice restaurants - the Shed and a pizza place whose name escapes me. In the summer the resort looks well cared for and has nice landscaping. Its right on the recreation trail so I've biked past it several times. I've considered staying there several times but never have probably because I found a better rate elsewhere. I have stayed in Stowe 3 times and love the town. Sorry this isn't more helpful

I have never been inside the Stoweflake, but it is a lovely place. Topnotch is wonderful and the spa there is heavenly. Topnotch is a true all seasons resort and Stowe is almost equally wonderful four seasons a year. We have a house there and drive six hours almost every weekend because there is no place like it!

We stayed at the Stoweflake in 1996 for a wedding; in fact most of the guests and the wedding party were there for the weekend. It was lovely, the reception was perfect, food was good too. Sounds like it's still a great place.
