Stayover near airport

As our condo is available for two wks - Saturday to Saturday we are unable to get flights at reasonable times on the Saturday, basically arriving there at midnight. The rates are lower if we go the day before so we were thinking it would be wiser to go on a Friday and stay overnight somewhere near the airport. Does anyone have any suggestion for a clean and safe place to basically put our head down for 8 hours. Thank you

So are you looking for somewhere to stay when you land late at night on Maui before you head out to your condo on Saturday?

Where is your condo going to be located? Want to get you headed in the right direction.

We are going to be at the end of Kihei, right near Wailea so I thought maybe there was a place right near the Kahului airport that we could stay overnight and then head to Kihei in the morning. Thanks

Check around for "fly and park" rates at nearby motels. When we flew out of Hartford, CT, recently, Ramada had a deal like that. We rented a room the night before and they had a special place in which to leave our car for two weeks -- at no extra charge.

They had a van there at (ugh) 4:30 a.m. to get us to the nearby airport for our 6:00 a.m. flight and all went beautifully. When we got back two weeks later, we simply were left off at our car, loaded the suitcases, and drove off for home.

Good luck to you there!

Are you flying directly into Maui? If not, a night in Waikiki might be fun. Problem on Maui is that there aren't that many places geared for single night stays.

Three years ago I landed in the Maui hospital on an emergency basis. We were staying on the west side and my husband didn't want to drive back late at night so he stayed at the Maui Seaside Hotel. It is like a 1960 motel. He gave it a 1.5 on a scale of 1 to 10. He thought it was clean enough. It was around $100 at that time. I think I've seen reviews at trip advisor. Maybe you can check them out.

Maybe some place in Paia would be good. It is 10 mins. from airport. The Spyglass is lovely, but don't know if you can book one night.
