Staying at The Bellagio - Help!!

Hi.

We're taking a weeks vacation to Las Vegas w/c 22nd July and are staying at the Bellagio as we got a special deal.

Can anyone out there tell us :

What the restaurants are like there? (Recommendations welcome!)

Is the 'slot club' good value ?

Is it VERY expensive inside the hotel ?

Many thanks.

1. Bellagio's restaurants
The restaurants are all pricey, but I enjoyed my meals at Aqua and Prime and thought I received my money's worth. I recommend Palio, a wonderful coffee/pastry shop for a light, inexpensive breakfast in the hotel.
Due to the Bellagio's convenient location, you can easily walk across the street (either to Paris, Ceasars, The Forum Shops, etc) for loads of other restaurants and dining options.
2. Bellagio's Slot Club
Definitely join it...it costs nothing to join and you don't have to be a high roller to get some modest comps. In addition, by joining you will be placed on their mailing list and receive periodic mailings regardings special rates and promotions.

If "w/c" means "with children," Bellagio is not a very family-friendly place. Like most Vegas hotels, they want you OUT of the ROOM, which means you won't find a coffeemaker or minibar although they are standard at even modest hotels now. Room service is outrageous. The sushi dinner we had at (? in the hotel) was excellent and worth every penny. Breakfast buffet is better at Paris. Bring a little cooler for juice boxes and snacks for the kids, and a coffeemaker if you're (like me) a java addict. The pool area is great, splurge on a frozen Bellini!

You'll love the Bellagio. Its buffet is rated as the best by many people. If you're gamblers, you may be able to get a couple of buffets comped by joining the slot club immediately and accumulating a minimum of points. Get a card from the "casino club" ( can't remember what they call it) as soon as you arrive. The cafe (perhaps open 24 hours?) off the conservatory has good food for fairly reasonable prices, but most of the other restaurants are very, very pricey, in my opinion. I've eaten at only one - on the main level overlooking the fountains, perhaps Olives? My memory is fading, it seems, but I wouldn't go back to it probably. If you have plenty of money, I've heard their other restaurants are awesome. I would think twice before taking a child in one of those...have a great time. Wish I were there...
