St. Louis question
Going to a concert Friday Oct 3rd. at Veterans amphitheatre in st. Louis. Would like to stay close to the Lumière Place Casino. Any recomendations? Anybody ever been to a concert at this amphitheatre? How is the Lumiere casino?

Are you, by chance, referring to the Verizon Amphitheater, in Maryland Heights, MO (which is a suburb of St. Louis)? If so, the amphitheater is nowhere near the Lumiere Casino, which is located downtown near the waterfront. You will definitely need a vehicle if the concert you're attending is there.
There is a hotel attached to Lumiere as well as several other hotel choices in the downtown area (Hyatt Regency St. Louis Riverfront; Renaissance St. Louis Grand; and the Crown Plaza Hotel are just a few...). The casino itself is quite nice - it's fairly new and, as such, is glitzy and jazzy. It is by the waterfront, so if you choose to stay at the hotel attached to it, you will be able to walk to restaurants and clubs located on Laclede's Landing (the waterfront area) as well as to the St. Louis Gateway Arch.
