St. Augustine, FL

Hello,

We are planning on going to St. Augustine for our fifth anniversary for one week, this coming October.

I have been searching for a beach house that would be reasonable for two people, that is modernly decorated, that has great views from most rooms and close to the water.

If anyone has any suggestions please let me know.

Thank you

Dana

I’m sure you’ve tried them already, but I’ve always used VRBO or Airbnb to find my beach houses. I can only remember one of the names of all the houses we’ve stayed in; The Blue Parrot. It was my idea of an absolutely perfect beach house. Could have used a tiny bit of repair work, but my idea of a beach house is quaint anyway. It has beautiful views, inside & out & sits directly on the beach. When you walk down the steps you are literally on the beach. We could leave all of our beach paraphernalia right on the deck at the bottom of the stairs every night. The back porch is huge & great for grilling with the family. And it is on a very unpopulated beach. One afternoon I was the only person on the beach. Other times it’s just families. The only drawback was that it is a bit of a drive back to town 15 minutes or so. It’s in the area of Crescent Beach. But it was worth it for us.
One other thing to consider is finding some of the rental agencies in SA & calling them. Just tell them what your looking for.

Vilano beach is our fav. You can even take the water taxi into St Augustine if you want to drink and not drive the very short distance. There are a lot of Airbnb and VRBO rentals on the beach there.
