What a problem to have! Our daughter (freshman in college) has a week off in mid-March and we'd like to do something with her that week, or part of it. (Our other daughter has a different week off.)

She's not particularly interested in museums and such, as our other daughter is, so that makes it tough! We're from Southern California but are open to possibilites wherever. Have been recently to San Francisco, and New York a year or so ago.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Have you asked her what she would like to do? It may be that she would like to just lay around the house and take it easy. Freshman year can be a real downer. Maybe she would like to spend some time with old friends that are still in town. Check with her. Maybe she knows exactly where she would LOVE to go.

Mexico? Hawaii?

good question, aileen. We have asked her, and she doesn't have any specific destination in mind. The schools seem to have different spring breaks, so there won't be kids around, and she is not one to want to sit around doing nothing!

suze, we did think about Hawaii, but we were there in Dec, plus the airfares are really high at that time! Mexico is an idea but not my first (or second, or third, choice...)

Thought there might be a good destination that just hadn't occurred to me- any other ideas?
