Spring break in Panama City Beach
My 21 yr. old college daughte and 3 friends
are spring breaking in Panama City Beach, Fl
and are wanting to stay at a nice hotel which is centrally located and where most of the action/activity is. Any suggestions for them. Thank you. P.S. They are going in March. She mentioned the Holiday Inn Sunspree what do you think or would there be a better place and location for all the activity.

Ah yes, spring break in PCB. I spent many there. Too many.
The Holiday Inn you mention is a good choice, but might I suggest a condo further east? The center of the spring break action (MTV land) are the MEGACLUBS called Spinnaker and La Vela on Thomas Drive. There are numerous condo complexes along Thomas Drive that would be great for 4 spring breakers. I suggest doing a Yahoo search for rental agencies. Nice complexes close to the action include the Dunes of Panama, Regency, Summit, etc.
Good luck and tell them to BE CAREFUL!!

I agree with the previous post. Your daughter & friends will want to be near Spinnaked and La Vela, so a condo or hotel on the west end of Thomas Drive would be perfect.
Another consideration: Where are their friends staying? If they're with a big group, then obviously they should all stick together.

Thank you so much for the info, they will certainly appreciate it. The Holiday Inn Sunspree is full, so hopefully they can find something at this late date.
Also, can anyone help me, is there any easy way to find your question back with the answers and suggestions from people rather than scrolling through all of this? Maybe I'm not getting it.
Thank you so much.

I went with 3 of my friends to Panama City for spring break a few years ago and had the best time, your daughter will love it. I would actually not worry too much about staying close to La Vela and Spinnakers (although she won't want to miss going to them). There is a great limo service that will take you from your hotel to the clubs for about $10 total and you can put a lot of people in the limo to split the cost (you also show up with a little bit of style which is kind of fun). We stayed at the Sandpiper Beckon which is at the end of the main street. The rooms have little kichenetts which can help save some money on food a balcony or deck, and are pretty roomie. There are a couple pools, a tiki bar and an open air walkway along the first floor rooms (raised above the beach) that is great for meeting other spring breakers staying there. The beach is nice and it's not quit as crowded as the beach at some of the other hotels. Don't worry about the Holiday Inn being full, we visited friends who were staying there and it was fun but we liked Sandpiper better. We made our reservations in late January or ealy February so she should be fine, she'll find something. Tell them to have fun!
