South Padre Island, TX at Easter

I am taking my family to SPI for a week at Easter. We don't need accommodations - we have reserved a condo. I am wondering how busy it is there at Easter. With Easter so late this year it should be well after the Spring Breakers leave. I can imagine the atmosphere changes quite drastically there after Spring Break ends. Just wondering how much family-oriented activities there are - other than the beach, obviously - that time of year. Anyone suggestions would be greatly appreciated?

SPI will be busy with a capital B.The week after Easter is Easter Week in Mexico/Latin America a time of great celebration and family gatherings in addition to vacation. Many families from Mexico gather with family on SPI as it is close and convenient and affordable to many.Spring Breakers begin to come at the end of February and stay until the end of April.Someone from somewhere has a SpringBreak every week.Since there is not set SpringBreak in the US.I hope this info helps. Its is a beautiful time indeed.
