Easter Sunday

We'll be arriving in Costa Rica on Easter Sunday (2009). Does anyone have experience with getting a rental car on Easter? We plan to fly from SJO to Quepos and pick up a car there and drive to Dominical. Sansa shows flights on that day but I just want to make sure they don't get canceled or anything.

Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Easter week/weekend are one of the busiest for the coastal areas. If you're able to secure a flight on Easter day, JUMP on it. They go fast! The Manuel Antonio/Quepos area caters heavily to the tourist trade on these holidays. The Thurs and Friday just prior to Easter are heavily observed with bans on liquor sales, bars etc. When Saturday arrives, it's business as usual or at least this has been my observance. Enjoy your trip!

Are you flying to Quepos on Easter and then staying there? Traffic is horrendous on Easter as everyone returns from their week-long vacation.

Yes, we're flying to Quepos on Easter Sunday and then driving to Dominical. I figured most of the traffic would be going in the other direction.

Lisa, how are you?! I thought about you this past summer as we were in Manuel Antonio again for a few days with our granddaughter. We seemed to be always busy or sleeping (after hard playing), but wish I had given you a call. Hope all is well with you. Maybe next year. Hello to Harry.
