Hello LindaL, I am sorry too dear one. But the timing just isn't right for me at the moment. But thank you again for your lovely offer! But LindaL, if you would like to stop by either coming or going please do so! Do you have my phone number? If not I can have Dayenu give it to you. And have a lovely time and a glass of wine for me!

Nothing is decided. I asked about a couple of places, got no replies. Linda and you have my cell phone number, right? Last time I'll check this thread is Wednesday PM

As there are no other offers on the table... anybody has restaurant preference? Time? Day?
I guess we'll have at least one lunch GTG on Saturday, and those staying overnight maybe want to get together for dinner? Breakfast next day?
So how Wolfgang Puck sounds for lunch? The express place in Heavenly village, it sounds from the reviews on other websites, you place your order and pay, pick up your food, something like a cafeteria? We had the best GTGs in non-formal places.
Sunday breakfast - Driftwood in Heavenly village? Yes, we are staying close to this village No car - so please do your own research on parking issues.
Dinner?

For dinner, how about "Naked Fish"? Anybody absolutely hates fish? They have some meat if you scroll to page 3. And no, this one is not in the village
OK, waiting for replies

I am not able to attend, but checked out Heavenly Village last week for you guys. Puck's is as stated: order at counter and pick up. Sandwich, wraps, salads etc. Very casual. Another place called Kalani looked good. More upscale and $$, but they have cocktails. I don't know how important alcohol is to the group. I know it is important to me Check their menu on line.
I wish I could attend. Have a good time.

Sorry I am going to miss those of you that are going to be in Tahoe. But I am heading out with my two DD's on Thurs for New Hampshire, Boston and NYC. I am really looking forward to the trip. It's been quite a while since I have traveled with both my daughters on the same trip-maybe 5-6 years. I will try to write a trip report but I always say that and am not good about it.
I am going to be in SF to visit Dayenu in Sept. I am thinking about getting a car so we can maybe have a GTG with some of you who live closer to Sacramento. I will post more about that later.
Have a drink for me and you all have a wonderful time.

<and btw- jakes on the lake is still open in tahoe city- was recently there>
Glad to hear that, just hope it's as good as it was when we enjoyed so many good meals and times there some years ago. It apparently has changed ownership, however, since the group that owns Duke's in Honolulu and used to own Jakes on the Lake no longer lists it with their properties. Thanks for the info toncasmo.
Have fun in Tahoe all of you lucky enough to go! I'm so jealous and sorry we won't be there!!
