South Florida beach at Xmas

My boss is planning a family beach trip to the West Palm, Ft. Lauderdale, Miami area the 3 days after Christmas, but is having a problem finding a good place to stay (he is thrifty, but very picky). It will be a multi-family, multi-generational trip. Any recommendations?

Go to TUG2.net & see if you can get a "last minute rental" as teh time drwas nearer. Also check the Main Rental section.(not sure if you can rent for 3 days only, Dec 26, 27 & 28). For West Palm, look @ Marriott Ocean Pointe. For Ft Lauderdale, look @ Marriott Beach Place. Marriott also has a nice resort @ Doral in Miami but it is not on the beach.

Thrifty and South Florida Christmas Week are not words that go together in a sentence.

Peak seaon and at this point, you are in for what is left over at high prices.

Call the Greenbriar Beach Resort in Hollywood Beach and see if they have re-opened since the remodel. Lovely motel.

Thanks for the suggestions - no worries on the typos. Greenbriar is still closed, but looked good. Anything else within a 2-3 hour drive? Sanibel is also booked.

I see a rate of 289/nite at the Renaissance in Fort Lauderdale - is that too high?
It's not on the beach but nearby and it's a nice property.

Donna, Lauderdale-By-The-Sea is one of the loveliest little towns in South Florida with a gorgeous beach.

Keep in mind Christmas in Miami could be suntan lotion or winter jacket!

50/50 proposition

We booked fairly last minute around Xmas last year into a condo on the beach with a pool and a nice view just a bit north of South beach. Price was right plus we could cook. Some of these places have multi bedrooms.
Try cyberentals.com to find locations all over Fla.
Good luck!
