South Beach Dining
We will be in Miami Beach for my birthday, and I was looking for a nice restaurant for that evening, I have read some good things about Wish and A Fish Called Avalon and a few, though not as many, good things about Quinn's, which is at the Park Central Hotel, where we will be staying. Any comments on any of these, or suggestions for another restaurant?

Dined at Wish on Sat 3/5. Restaurant not crowded, definitely seemed to be on downswing. Although food was delicious, service sucked and they charged our party of 6 for 9 entrees (3 extras)and 4 extra cocktails, and were not the least bit gracious about their error. 30 minutes later, bill was finally corrected. Would not return.

Bummer about Wish...! I've always had great service there-- but then again, the last time I was there was August of last year. Things can slide really quickly in those Hot Scene restaurants.
I have no idea when my next Miami visit will be, but I'm hoping Wish will still be around....

If your looking for a good spot go to Mangos on Ocean Drive. Food is great and the atmoshere is awesome. Its a little loud but thats salsa and thats what Odrive is all about. Its so good that its been in movies and also featured on Travel Channel. HINT: If you decide to go don't take any bags with you because you have to check them and they charge. HAVE FUN

Had dinner at Wish last month and thought it was very nice. Gorgeous outside terrace for seating, our service was very good. It is very expensive and a tad overpriced for the food but I would go again. I haven't been to the others so I can't comment.

Barton G is hip and expensive and nothing special -- you could be in any city. The crab claw appetizers were $18 for EACH claw, which I found out after the waiter recommended 3 per person!.
Had lunch at Nikki's, a very fun, almost hedonistic experience with lounging beds and wonderful food -- very South Beach.
