There is a Best Western just a few blocks from the square in Sonoma. Nice and reasonable.

The Best Western in Healdsburg is about 38 miles away from Sonoma.
I would suggest the Glen Ellen Inn, in Glen Ellen. It's just up the road from Sonoma.
Glen Ellen is a small funky town. Right next door is the Fig Cafe. Very good food and no corkage fee for Sonoma County wines.
I stayed there in January, and it was very nice, right next door to the creek running through the town, and very quiet.

To the OP, although Healdsburg is in Sonoma County (and is a lovely little town, with it's own town square), it is always from the TOWN of Sonoma, so if you meant the town and not the county/ area, be sure you look at the actual address. Both the town of Sonoma and the town of Healdsburg would be nice places to stay.
