solo seattle

Has anyone stayed at the Madison renaissance in downtown seattle? Need suggestions for a fish restaurant in seattle that would be comfortable for a woman dining alone.

Some of the fish restaurants that I like in Seattle are:

1-Anthony's Homeport
2-BlowFish
3-Palisades

Also not strictly known as a fish restaurant, but really good anyway.
1-Dahlia Lounge
2-Sazarac

Also, don't know anything about the Madison Renaissance.

I'd recommend "Schucker's", an oyster bar in the Four Seasons Olympic Hotel that is perfect for solo dining. It is
casual, attracts both hotel guests and outsiders and has wonderful food served by a very accommodating staff that will make you feel right at home.

Add Flying Fish to your list - it's probably the best in the city for fish. Ray's Boathouse is good, too. I've had friends who have stayed at the Madison and say it's OK. It's a bit out of the center of things. dick

Erica - I'm considering a trip to Seattle late this summer or early fall and will also travel and dine solo. I'll be most appreciative if you post a brief trip report upon your return to highlight the good, bad and indifferent aspects of your trip, particularly related to dining. Thanks!
