Snowbird, Utah lodging
My husband and I would like to stay at Snowbird. Is there anyway I can directly call the Cliff Lodge, Lodge at Snowbird, The Inn or Iron Blosam Lodge to get my reservation?

I believe all reservations go through the same central number --- (800) 232-9542. You can ask to be connected to the front desk as any of the four lodges, but I dont think they will make reservations, they'll refer you back to the central reservation line.

Michelle,
They are all owned by Snowbird, except the Cliff Lodge which has a different corporate ownership. All are handled by Snowbird Central Reservations. I used to work in Central Reservations - ahh, those were the days!

You do not need to book through central reservations. I booked a gorgeous unit (2 bedrooms plus a studio) for - seriously - ONE FOURTH what central reservations was going to charge. Go to vrbo.com and check out the Snowbird accommodations at the Cliff. I know this post is probably too late. And - by the way - I loved The Cliff. You really couldn't want for more.

Hey obxxtreme---I'm glad the Cliff worked out for you and your family. We love that place---we own a summer week there and always use it.
How was the skiing/riding? Are they still a bit short on snow?

enzian, they were a bit short on snow... more hardpack than I'd like to have seen at Snowbird, but Alta was in fantastic shape. Still plenty of great spots in Snowbird if you know where to look; I just prefer Alta. I spent most of my time there. The kids all ride, though, and they had a terrific time off piste and in the terrain parks. What are the conditions normally like there at the end of March? I was thinking of doing spring break there in 2008. Either that or Whistler or Lake Louise.

obxxtreme---end of March should be fine at Alta. This is just an odd year---all the snow has fallen further north (Whistler is supposed to be terrific; we are going up there in a couple of weeks).
When my kids were in school and had their spring break the first or second week of April, we found very good skiiing at Alta/Snowbird, Whistler, and Mt. Bachelor. But Alta is always my favorite. Those north-facing slopes hold the snow very well.
