Snorkel Trip to Lanai

Going to Maui. Has anyone been on a snorkel trip to Lanai. If so was it worth it and what boat company did you use. Thanks.

Just got back from Maui on Saturday! We did a snorkel/sail trip to Lanai with Paragon...it was expensive - $149 a person. We didn't see very many fish where we stopped to snorkel, but we did see dolphins along the way. I actually wish we had done a half-day to Molokini - the snorkeling looked better and spending the entire day on a catamaran was exhausting. Good luck!

Wow, a whole day lounging around a catamaran is exhausting? What, are you going through chemo or something?

We went on the Trilogy and had a great time. The snorkeling was not great on Lanai but the trip was fun. I like being out on the water and you can snorkel other places. We saw many dolphins.

We went ocean rafting with Capt. Steve and thought it was a very fun trip. We saw many dolphins, turtles and an octopus. Snorkeled in 3 different places and saw a fairly good variety of fish (saw better fish from shore in Honolua Bay, though). The group size is small and the ride is fun-I would recommend this trip.

We went on a snorkel trip with Rainbow Chaser. It is slightly more expensive then other boats but well worth it. The owner and his crew are excellent. He limtis the amount of passengers on the boat and, as such, you are able to get a lot of attention. The food was also excellent, they light up the grill right on the boat. Would highly recommend.

I don't believe Rainbow Chaser is still around. We did a tour with them several years ago, and wanted to use them again when we go back this December. Some of my inquiries indicate that they have changed their focus to a "newlywed theme" at $199. a person, 6 couples, all with staterooms. However, a few of the tour companies don't seem to be very up to date and don't know this.
If anyone has more info regarding Rainbow Chaser that differs from above, please let me know. I would like to use them again.
