This cracks me up! I live here - been stung by a scorpion, seen plenty of snakes, and don't get me started on those huge roaches. Ick.

But hey, don't let that stop you from coming! Boys love that stuff...

Hi,

I have lived in Phoenix for the past 10 yeaars. I hike in South Mountain Park at least once a week, and I travel all over the greater Phoenix area for work. I have seen a rattle snake once, never a scorpion and never a cockroach. Some other pluses..no mosquitos, biting flies or anything like that. Come visit, relax and enjoy yourself..its a beautiful state!

I just posted this statistic on another post....98% of snake bite victims who end up in the ER are intoxicated..most are males. I've walked through rattlesnake country for years and have never seen one!!! They are very fearful of humans...if the snakes here you they slither off.
