Small world, ain't it! Paging Marily Freund

Long ago and far way in a distant land called Yountville some Fodorites got together. In passing, someone mentioned her daughter was about to be a resident at Children's. Hey Marilyn...I worked with your neice this evening! What a lovely woman she is! She was discussing her parents(and we were planning a menu) when she mentioned her family connections to Gordon's. All of a sudden I said, is your aunt Marilyn Freund? She immediately wanted to know just how it was I knew her aunt..well, that's simply we're both fodorites! She laughed and said" My aunt and Fodor's...". It seems she understands the addictionThe small world just got smaller.

Pam, that is SOOO funny! I wondered when my real life and fodors would intersect!

I had forgotten that you met her mother in Yountville. How clever of you to remember and make the connection! Thanks for letting me know, and see you in a few weeks.

PS Did you talk about France? Because she and her husband are both Francophiles. We spent a couple of days with them in Paris last spring -- just happened to be there at the same time. Her husband's mother is originally French, and not only does he speak the language quite well but he knows his way around a pate'.

R5. No intrusion! Thanks for the welcome home. We have half our pics and will assemble them into something managable for the GTG. And, I think party hats would be swell. I did buy a fabulous hat in Paris and will wear that initially for meeting and greeting(weather permitting) but will gladly give it up for something festive.

Marilyn~we talked a wee bit about France
primarily as I had worn a tiara to work and my costume was "French Aristocracy".
She did say she really thought we should bring back the tiara and that she really did look fabulous in one her own self

In the true spirit of a personable connection, we moved right ahead to her bathroom remodel, our bathroom remodel, what to make for the "family" dinner to meet the new baby and then medical orders in that order.

Both of yas~I anxiously await the GTG!
