I'm with lizzie, I refuse to own clothes that aren't stylish

That said, every 8 years or so I invest in a tailored conservative long black wool coat that I only wear in cold climates (it is too hot to wear it here). I also have a pair of black Prada trainers I bought in 2001 that only get worn in NYC. They have a thick rubber sole that keeps my feet dry and warm in the winter.

I also have a ten year old black pashmina I paid a small fortune for but have definitely gotten my money out of.

20 years ago I bought a pair of cashmere lined black leather gloves that still look great.

I guess my point is to invest in your clothes. Don't just buy them.

Invest in a winter white wool coat to match your bag.

Nikki, when did you get there again? There was a small group of people sitting in front of the bar when we were there...

Next time, maybe we should all wear a hat!

I am in the process of upgrading my entire wardrobe and getting rid of the junk and unflattering clothes, for this very reason; hence, the purchase of the Louis. Regretfully, it is blue and I hate blue and don't own any complimentary clothing. Except that it's pretty. Oh, well.

EM, our group got to Roberto Passon around 7 PM. I do wish we could have had this conversation before we went.

Nikki. I just read your trip report. I'll bet you can't guess at what hotel I stayed at last weekend....

EM, very cool! I am hesitant to use Priceline because I frequently need two beds. Did you know which hotel you would be getting?

N:

I knew I would get LPM because I chose all 4 star-hotels in the S. Central Park zone. LPM is, as far as I know, the cheapest of that kind in that area.
