Sleep Inn, Brunswick Ohio

Any input on this hotel? We'll be staying there for two days in June when our daughter is getting married and I'm lost on places to stay around that area. Any help would sure be welcome! Thanks in advance.

Don't know about this particular one, but Sleep Inns are one of the cheapest no-frills chains out there. Just marginally better than Motel 6 in general, but even less consistent.

I don't think you'll enjoy that on such a special occassion. Brunswick is only about 10 miles from Cleveland Hopkins Airport, where there are more 3- to 4-star hotels. Or closer, there's a 3* Holiday Inn Select in Strongsville, which is closer.

Sleep Inn is part of the Choice Hotel chain (Clarion, Quality Inn, Comfort Inn, Mainstay Suites) and the ones I've stayed at it are far from "cheap no-frills". Eash has had an indoor pool and a great breakfast buffet, and all Sleep Inns are new, not converted from some other property. No in-house restaurant, but there have always been nearby places.

When all else was filled recently I stayed at a Sleep Inn (my first) in Sarasota. The room was really as nice or nicer than any Hampton, Fairfield, or similar motel. I was a bit taken aback by the idea that they made a copy of my driver's license. And the weirdest thing was that althought the breakfast was OK, the breakfast room for a 60 room or so motel, had exactly two tables each seating four!

Okay, I looked at this hotel's website, and it does look pretty decent, with a semi-outdoor pool.

But do consider bidding on Priceline. People have been getting the Sheraton Cleveland Airport for about $40. I'd think that's probably more comfortable and classy for a wedding.
