Skyland vs Big Meadows Shenandoah National Park

We are two active seniors planning our first trip to Shenandoah National Park this September.

We would like to stay where there is a view (& porch?) from our room. A/C is a plus.
Would you suggest Skyland or Big Meadows?

Thanks

We stayed at Skyland just last month. Our room had a king bed and a porch/balcony. The view was woods, but a steep wood. We were there for a weekend, and never had a blanket, despite asking several times. I would say that the rooms were adequate but just that. It was only our second experience at a NP accommodation, and this wasn't as nice as our room at the Grand Canyon. We did have fun at Shenandoah. Very friendly NP workers and rangers. Incredibly delicious Blackberry ice cream pie..

We visited Big Meadow and walked around a bit, but I didn't notice rooms with views. Lots of cottages and porches..
