Six Flags Great Escape or waterslide world

We are going camping in Lake George this weekend. We have never been to the area. We would like to do a park....our original thought was to do six flags...however I saw very bad comments on tripadvisor......what about waterslide world?? Any comments?

My grandkids are going to Lake George this weekend and they are staying across the street where they have a water park in their lobby?. We went past six flags last weekend and it did not look too big from the road, that is the best I can tell you.

Have a good time, it is a beautiful place.

Hi alpinemccain,

I haven't been to Lake George yet....but I am also going this weekend and I thought I'd share a few of our plans with you, they might be things you would like to do.

We enjoy shopping so we are going to head to the Adirondack outlet center on Rt 9.
We are also heading into Queensbury which is about 10-12minutes away to do some shopping.

We're staying on Canada Street, and we plan on checking out our area as we have heard that there are some nice shops and restaurants close by.

We are going to be doing some fishing as well, but we have been told that we must obtain a fishing permit and our hotel will tell us where to go once we arrive.

I have heard that Lake George is a great place, I hope that WE enjoy it

Layla

I live about 45 minutes from Lake George. For the last 2 years, DD (25) and BF have gotten season passes for the Great Escape. I haven't been in a number of years, but they love it. Waterslide World looks really small from the highway.
