Singapore - LAX - London, Is this possible?
I will need to travel to Singapore for business meetings the week before my vacation. I would like to go to the UK for my vacation. I know that the flight from Singapore to the west coast is very long, I was wondering if I should fly from Singapore to LA (via Hong Kong or Tokyo, depending on how the company books this ticket) and then to London on the same day? If I do this I have a fews hours at the LA airport between flights. I would do this to maximize my time in London. Unfortunately, I will not be able to fly to London form Singapore (I know this is a shorter route than returning to the US) because I need to travel back to the US with some business collegues. I know this will be a very long journey, any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Of course it's possible, if you don't mind two excruciatingly long back-to-back flights. There's no way to get out of the return flight to LA? Because you can pretty much get to London from SEA in the same time it will take you to get to LA.
It wouldn't be so bad if you were in business or first. Otherwise, I recommend the drugs of your choice (but not too much alcohol or you'll have the worst headache of your life by the time you get to London).

I'm unclear as to what kind of advice you are looking for?
Obviously you know that it will be a very long day(s). Only you kow how you can cope with being in the air for ~30 hours.
Also, it will be very doable and very comfortable in F, easily done in business classs, or many uncomfortable hours in economy. If you are flying in F or J you will be able to use the airline lounges. Most do have showers, so when connecting in LAX, you can refresh, change clothes, relax in somewhat quiet and relaxing surroundings. If you are flying economy and are not a member of an airline lounge(s), then you will have to deal with the masses in the terminal and no place to refresh, other than the public restrooms. That could make it a very long and miserable trip.
Good luck and have a wonderful trip!

If you are flying coach there is no way I'd do this. In first or even business it could be just bearable. But since the LAX/London flight is overnight you will probably be 2+ full days pretty much wide awake. Even IF you are one who can sleep in the back of the plane I doubt you could manage more than 2 or 3 hours.
I'd fly into LAX, get a hotel room near the airport using Priceline, and fly to London the first flight the next day.
Sure you'll lose a day in London - but you'll be a zombie that day anyway so not much loss . . . . . .

There is economy and there is economy. SQ's SIN-LAX has premium economy (and no regular ones), and both BA and VS have their own (plus regular coach).
According to AAFF's defintion:
F = very comfortable
J = easily done
Y = many uncomfortable hours
PE may be "somewhat tolerable". Get those instead of regular economy.

I cannot imagine anyone wanting to do this unless it was a family emergency and the only way to get there. This trip would be sheer torture in economy.
I've made the LA-London trip many times and it's not totally horrible as the British Airways flights we took were at night, but coming on top of another LONG flight it would be ghastly...particularly on a crowded flight (and most I have been on have been full or close to it). I'd break the trip up with a stop at a LAX hotel.
