Does anyone know if there is shuttle service from LAX (Los Angeles airport) that would take us to a location in Oxnard (Ventura area)?

Option 2 is taking a cab. Would taxi cab go that far? will they take 4 people (3 adults & a toddler).

The LAX website has transportation info. There is a listing for a long distance van to Ventura County. Unfortunately there isn't much information so you would have to contact the vendor unless some other Fodorite knows. Can you rent a car? With four people it might be cheaper even with a one way fee.

I know there is Coast Shuttle that goes to Ventura County. Do an internet search because I am sure there are more.

A cab would way too expensive. Even the shuttle service for 4 people would be alot since they usually charge per person. It would probably be cheapest just to rent a car for the day and drive there.

It's probably cheaper to rent a car. I do that when I have to leave from LAX on any trip longer than a week. Costs about $60.00 plus gas from AVIS.
