Shows in Vegas

Looking to go to a good show. Hear that Lasting Impressions with Bill Acosta is a good show. Can anyone recommend any others. How is American Superstars and EFX. Also, has anyone stayed at the Club De Soleil, I believe it is part of a timeshare/extended stay unit.

Yes, if you have the money (about $100 per ticket) Cirque du Soleil is more than worth it. Mystere at Treasure Island, or - even more incredible - O at the Bellagio. I have seen both, and both are amazing, but O is the newer one, is performed in a specially-built theater on a set that is part water, and is absolutely mind-blowing.

Agree that O is absolutely stunning if the wallet stretches that far!

Personally I hated EFX, but I seem to be in the minority here

Mystere and O are the best shows!! Very exciting and enjoyable. I didn't like EFX at all either nor did I enjoy Siegfried and Roy.

I think the general consensus is the top three shows in no particular order are:
O
Danny Gans
Mystere
EFX and American Superstars are both entertaining, but I would pass on Bill Acosta in favor of Danny Gans.

What is O at the Bellagio? Or is Cirque du Soleil a better show?

Cirque du Soleil is the name of the "troup" that puts on the shows. They currently have 2 shows playing in Las Vegas, one of which is "O" (Bellagio), the other is Mystere (Treasure Island).

"O" is the harder ticket to come by these days since it is a newer show, however, i've heard that a person's favorite between the two is whichever one you've seen first. My personal preference is for "Mystere", and yes, that is the one that i saw first. Neither show is cheap (with Mystere being slightly cheaper than O), but MOST poeple think it ultimately is money well spent.

Thank you for the clarification. I just called the Bellagio and they are sold out for the date we were looking for. We may consider going to Mystere.

If you want something extraordinarily funny and very lowkey, go to the Bourbon Street Casino and Hotel and see Dr. Naughty. he is a hypnotist and his show is hilarious.

Julie:

If you really want to see "O", just go to Bellagio the day you want to see the show, 2 hours before showtime. It is almost 100% sure that you'll be able to buy standby tickets.

Wayne Newton at the Stardust and Sheena Easton at the Las Vegas Hilton. Also a pretty good Elvis tribute at the Frontier.

I was just in Las Vegas and saw both American Superstars and Sheena Easton. The prices were OK and the products were excellent (especially Sheena Easton).

I am seeing "O" for the first time in October. I hear it's an awesome show. Be sure to buy tickets at least two months ahead of time if you do decide to see "O." The Friday and Saturday shows sell out the fastest...I almost didn't get tix and I called 2 1/2 months ahead!

Just returned from 4 nights in Vegas. We saw Blue Man Group - IT WAS FANTASTIC!!!We sat in the 3rd row (Poncho seats. We also saw Mystere and LOVED IT - you need to book 3 months in advance. Get seats in the middle section rows AA,BB through HH. You don't want to be in the front rows for this one - there's too much going on in the theater and you don't quite get the perspective. Also make sure you're seated a half-hour early and enjoy the antics.

Enough about all the different Cirque De Soleil shows!!! Try something different. How about Caesar's Magical Empire - a dinner theater. Reminiscent of The Magic Castle in Hollywood, California only you don't have to be a member. Once dinner is done, you are escorted to a lounge area with directions to 3 theaters filled with magic!! Shows are your choice. The atmosphere is great. Your meal is good and comes with wine. A must if you havent' done it. ENJOY!
