Mary Ann, what did you mean about the Marriott points not counting on resales? I realize that you wouldn't receive 100,500 points from Marriott for buying from John Doe. Do you mean just the resale or NEVER counting, like on renting your place after you buy?

mar lib: This thread is over seven years old. Your best bet may be to hit a timeshare users group website-- but I'm sure there are many new ones these days. You'll have to do some Googling, I imagine.

Good luck to you!

Sometimes it takes a while to get a good response! How does a 7 year old post even make its way back to the top of the board?
Really I want to know....shd I check back in 2013? LOL

Please be kind to marlib. Maybe he/she has a really slow connection.

My goodness! I had a senior moment, I didn't notice the date but I really didn't expect such nasty replies. Thanks for so kindly pointing out my mistake.

I have a friend that has WorldMark timeshare points and loves it. He goes all over the US. He also swears by the TUG group.

marlib as we all know, tone of voice doesn't come across on a computer screen. The way I'm reading this, I don't think there's anything really nasty here, I think they are just joking around with you. Please don't let this upset you.

I hope you will get the answers you need on your new thread.

I don't think anyone is being "nasty" either. I have been known to start replying to old posts too, after they've been brought to the top from long buried graves. Hey, once a very old post of mine was brought up and I started answering it not even realizing it was my own question from a couple years earlier.

How does such a post come up? Maybe Marlib was searching for something like
"Timeshares Users Group" or something else that rarely would come up in a search and that brought up this old post. Like many of us, she simply failed to notice the date of the old thread.

I didn't even noticed this post was that old, LOL.
FYI, in reviewing this post, I didn't see the comments being nasty, though I did detect a little sarcasm. ;-)
