My husband & I are looking for a condo or small place to rent next year for January & February that is pet friendly(prefer $1300 or less per month). It can have 1 or 2 bedrooms, w/ 1-1/2, 2 baths if possible. We're looking in the Gulf coast areas of Texas. Like Corpus Christie, Rockport, South Padre, Harlingen, Brownsville areas. We're both over 60, my husband will be 65 so not sure there are places that offer discounts for seniors. Has anyone ever rented a place or knows someone that ha,s that could give us some suggestions? Thanks for your help.

I wondered what in the world you were looking for in OHIO--and I am from there, and LOVE it!!

I'm confused at what both of you are saying re: ohio. At the top next to "tagged" it says Texas. Plus in my question I list the places we're interested in for example, Corpus Christie, Rockport, South Padre, etc. I have looked at flipkey & airbnb but will try homeaway. Thanks for the suggestion.

That is a pretty broad swath of geographic range. South Padre is much nicer. It will also be warmer than in the North Padre area of Corpus/Rockport. If you are interested in a beach location, I'd suggest you look in that area. Suggest you have a look on VRBO.com or homeaway.com or google for a local agency in South Padre Island area.
