Shopping Prices

We are a family of 4 from England visiting Florida in August for our 3rd time. We loved visiting the 'Malls' in between time on the beach , etc. We are visiting Orlando ,Clearwater and St Augustine. Do clothing prices vary from one outlet to another ?
Are there any cheaper areas out of the main
tourist areas? Sportswear and general teenage clothes are our main buying items.
This might sound silly , but can you buy warmer clothing in August as our climate is obviously not as warm. Many thanks.

Well you should have no problems finding great malls and outlets. I used to live near Clearwater and I believe they have 2 malls, not to mention several in the Tampa area close by. As for clothing prices, outlets can be your best bet but look for the Clearance and Sale racks in the stores too. Usually these racks are located at the back of a store or department. As far as buying warmer clothing, you won't find as much available in Florida as you would other parts of the US, but you shouldn't have too many problems and will probably find plenty of things to buy! And for great deals - though usually not located in the Mall, I think you might enjoy a T.J. Maxx or a Marhshall's - just look in the local phone book. Have fun!

Please include city/state/region name in message title, EVEN if you are picking a state from the "keyword list"

Message: I've noticed a lot of ambiguous message titles lately, and many people responding in frustration along the lines of "Why don't you say what state/city you're talking about?!?!

Posters AND readers may not realize/remember that when you post a message you are given the option of both a message and a 'keyword'.
For example, someone might use "best hotel" as a message and choose "arizona" from the keyword list, not realizing that the keyword does NOT show up in the message title or text, and is only useful for searching among all the posts.

I really enjoy this forum, but I don't want to 'waste' my time reading posts on topics I thought were about something else, nor do I think posters deserve rude (ok, frustrated)
responses to their posts because they are unaware of how the system works.

Thank you !

Hello, We are from Lancashire and have just returend from our 7th trip.
I would recommend the new Orlando Premium Outlets, about 100 shops DKNY, Ralph Lauren etc the Adidas store is pretty good for discounted sports goods.
It is on International Drive South , near where we stayed and it is in a very quiet area. It is worth a visit.
Florida Mall is one of the best in Florida and again is well worth a visit.
Belz factory outlet on International Drive North is a bit hit and miss really, depends on what the stores have in at the time.

The outlets all have pretty much the same prices. However, if a regular department store is having a sale, their prices are also about the same as the outlets. The clothing manufacturers are now making clothes specifically for the outlet stores.
