sheraton cypress creek fort lauderdale?

I am taking my elderly mother to fort lauderdale in august to see her also elderly sister. has any one stayed at the Sherton Cypress creek? How about car rentals? any comments or advice would be greatly appreciated!

For car rentals, I've been having the best luck recently here in Florida with Dollar. Just be sure to sign up in advance for the Fast Track. It's free and keeps you from standing in a line. I believe most of the rental places are now relocated in the huge parking facility adjacent to the terminal, so it makes little difference whom you rent from in terms of location.

I'm assuming the Cypress Creek Sheraton is convenient for your aunt's place?

thanks for the info on car rentals. Yes the Sheraton Cypress Creek is close to my Aunts about two miles I think have you been there? is it ok?

Well maybe someone can help you, but it's not exactly a "tourist destination". I suspect that it mainly caters to business travelers, so I'm not sure how much information you will get here.
We stayed at a Marriott in that area because we had a free night, but it is mainly in the middle of a business park, not that there's anything wrong with that.
