Share your Chicago hotel recommendations

Hi all,

We're working on the next Chicago update, and want to hear about your favorite places to stay, anywhere in the city. Our goal is to present reviews for the properties YOU want, covering all prices and experiences, in about 60 selections.

Please let me know if you've had an excellent experience at any hotel/suites/apts in Chicago. If we don't already cover it, I'll recommend it to the updater and editor for inclusion in the next edition.

If you'd like to see our latest reviews, click here: http://www.fodors.com/world/north-am...go/hotels.html

Thanks in advance for weighing in!

My favorite was the Fitzpatrick on Superior Street near the miracle mile, but it has been renamed since my last visit and don't know if it has remained the same.

Affinia Chicago -- 166 East Superior Street, (formerly Fitzpatrick Chicago Hotel)

I had a great stay at Hotel 71 -- a very good rate found with an easy Internet search. It seemed the perfect location to me -- with a beautiful view of the river and easy walking distance to the parks and other downtown attractions.

Hi Erica D

I love the Amalfi hotel. It's is a great spot, within walking distance of Norstroms. The are a very modern hotel and the rooms are super comfy. All rooms include a breakfast that is set up on each floor at the elevators. So it's great to run out there and grab some coffee and sweets and hang out in your room. And each night the have a manager's cocktail party with little finger foods and a Amalfini drink...

I love to stay at the Sheraton Hotel and Towers. I love the location and the fact that I can walk everywhere yet it's not on a major street so it seems calmer. The views are wonderful looking into the city and along the chicago river. I just live in the suburbs of Chicago but I love staying there when I want the to live in the city for a weekend.

We had a great stay at the Hotel Monaco. It was a great location for the theatre district and it was far enough north in the Loop that the area wasn't deserted at night. Plus, our room had a huge window seat (as big as a twin bed) that overlooked the river. Fabulous!

My daughter and I stayed at the Intercontinental Hotel on Michigan Ave. and Chicago River. Location, location, location! Sooo easy to walk everywhere--museum campus, millenium and grant parks, down the steps to the lakefront for a morning run, shopping on Michigan Ave., great nearby dining or strolling along the river. We could easily pop into our hotel between stops. The concierge gave us a fabulous recommendation on a hip new restaurant with incredible, unique food and great atmosphere.
